Dubai: You would hardly have seen someone spending crores on the number plate of a vehicle, but today we are going to tell you about one such person. In fact, a person has set a new record by spending 55 million dirhams (about Rs 123 crore) for VIP car number plates. This is the most expensive number plate in the world so far, which has found a place in the Guinness World Records.

In fact, VIP car number plate 'P 7' has been sold for a record 55 million dirhams in the 'Most Noble Numbers' charity auction. Those involved in the auction wanted to break the record set in 2008, when a car number plate from Abu Dhabi was sold for 52.2 million dirhams (about Rs 116.3 crore). Bidding for the number plate started at 15 million dirhams, with Telegram founder Pavel Durov also participating in the bidding.

Please tell that this auction took place in UAE. Even before this, such programs have been organized here. Such events are organized by rich people in UAE to show their status and wealth. Earlier in the year 2008, local businessman Syed Abdul Ghaffar Khoury bought a VIP car number plate for 52.2 million dirhams. In such a situation, this year this record was broken.

Buyer's condition

The person who bought this number plate for the highest amount kept only one condition that his name should not be revealed. The event saw the auction of several other VIP number plates and phone numbers.

Let us tell you that Dubai has always been a great place for rich people to show off their wealth and live a tax free life. Even though there is an impact of the economic market on other parts of the world, but it does not have any effect on Dubai. This is the reason that the lifestyle of the people living in Dubai affects the people.

What happens to the auction money

The proceeds from the auction will be used to support the '1 Billion Mile Endowment' campaign. The goal of this campaign is to create a food fund for Ramadan. The campaign was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to promote efforts to combat global hunger.
