AI can defeat the monster of cancer, scientists created this powerful tool

Cancer is such a deadly disease that around one crore people around the world die every year. But with the new discovery, now the hope of defeating cancer has increased.

AI ie Artificial Intelligence is ready to change our world. Many things are going to be easy and comfortable in life. After a successful heart operation, a team of scientists, doctors and researchers has now created a model of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that can accurately identify cancer. Along with this, it can also open a new way for the treatment given to the patients.

Cancer as we all know, it is a fatal disease. It is not easy to overcome this. Many types of efforts are still going on in the world to beat cancer. But with the help of artificial intelligence, we can move forward towards its diagnosis.

How many people die of cancer every year?

According to the report of the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the biggest cause of all deaths worldwide. One out of every six deaths is due to cancer. In this context, about one crore people die every year due to cancer.

Although cancer can also be treated in many cases, and patients' lives can be saved, but this is possible only when it is detected as soon as possible. And patients should be treated immediately.

Unique experiment on cancer happening in London

The most unique experiment so far is being used in London for the rapid detection of cancer. In this campaign, experts from Imperial College, Institute of Cancer Research along with Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust are engaged.

This team of researchers has developed an AI tool that can identify whether the patient has cancer or not by looking at the CT scan of the patient. According to the research, the performance of this algorithm has been more efficient and effective than the existing methods.

Predictions for lung cancer patients

The research team used CT scans of nearly 500 patients who had lung cancer. With this technique more precise conclusions can be reached. Scientists say that we hope that cancer detection will improve rapidly in the future. And it is possible that success can be achieved in the treatment of high-risk patients.

Significantly, lung cancer is the biggest cause of death among other types of cancer. Dr. Richard Lee, the chief researcher of this study, says that compared to patients with lung cancer in the early stages, those people whose cancer is detected late are more likely to survive.

This means that we should speed up the early detection of this disease on priority basis. It is the first tool to develop a radiomics model that can help doctors identify specific high-risk patients.
