Tata Group is working on the makeover of Air India. First of all, the company's 6 wide body planes (two aisle aircraft) are going to be rejuvenated. In the coming months, Airbus wide body A350 planes will join the Air India fleet. In this, where there will be luxury seating to infotainment, the passengers will also get the facility of free Wi-Fi.

Air India's makeover will be done from 3300 crores

Tata Group is going to spend $ 400 million (about Rs 3300 crore) on the makeover of Air India. The company will first start using 6 new wide body planes providing premium service for its flights. After this, the company will also makeover about 40 remaining wide-body planes and most of the narrow-body planes (one-aisle aircraft) already with it.

The company plans to do a makeover of all its planes in the next two years. During the makeover, the company will completely change the interior of the flight. At the same time, the makeover of all the company's aircraft is expected to be completed in the next two years. In all these flights, passengers will also get free Wi-Fi service during the flight.

17 new planes will come in a year

Company CEO Campbell Wilson says that by March next year, 17 out of 19 new wide body planes will be included in Air India's fleet. After this, the company will start sending its 40 wide body planes (Boeing 787 and Boeing 777) for makeover by the middle of 2024. These planes will have new seating, new cabin and infotainment. In such a situation, by the middle of 2025, all these planes will also come back after being up-to-date.
