Brazilian mayor Hissam Hussein Dehani married former child beauty queen Cauane Rode Camargo on April 15. Camargo married Dehaini just 4 days after completing 16 years.
Millionaire businessman Dehaini is claimed to have 14 million Brazilian Reals (about Rs 22 crore). During this, he was completing his second term as mayor of Araquria in Paraná province. According to Yahoo News, Dehaini had to resign from the Siddania Political Party because of his marriage.
Another strange thing has come to light during this incident that Dehaini had recruited some of his close relatives on top jobs in the staff just before the marriage. A 36-year-old mother from Camargo has received a whopping $1,500 raise in her new job. He is the Municipal Secretary of Culture and Tourism. According to Mail Online, Camargo's aunt has been appointed to the post of Secretary General Director.
Both the women have been fired from their jobs for the time being and the authorities are probing whether Dehaini abused his position to appoint relatives to top positions. Dehaini is the father of 16 children and has been married 6 times. He had married for the first time in 1980.
Information has also come to the fore about the former mayor that he had gone to jail in the year 2000 for drug trafficking. He remained in jail for about 100 days, later the investigation was closed.
