Education: From pre-primary to class 12th, e-books have been launched in 8 mediums and 19 languages. Which students and teachers can use anywhere and anytime. The state government has launched e-textbooks from pre-primary to class 12th on 13 May 2023 to make education accessible and easily available to the students.

Students can download books
The government has made available 475 titles of textbooks in downloadable formats on the portals of SCERT, SEBA and AHSEC. Students can download it as per their requirement. The e-books were launched by State Tribal and Backward Classes Education and Welfare Minister Ranoj Pegu. Many officials of the education department were also present on this occasion.
The school operates in eight different mediums to accommodate the linguistic diversity in the state of Assam. The government has provided 475 titles of free textbooks to 59,97,975 students.
In addition, e-textbooks for all classes from pre-primary to class 12 will now be available for download on the portals of SCERT, SEBA and AHSEC. The digital textbooks have been published in 19 different languages and 8 mediums.
What would be the benefit?
According to media reports, around 54,000 schools, including 45,000 government and 10,000 central government and private schools, will be benefited from this. With the launch of e-textbooks, students across the state will be able to access their required textbooks easily and without any hassle.
