Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that “China strongly opposes holding any kind of G20 meeting in the disputed area and will not attend such meetings. Rejecting China's objections, India said that it is free to hold meetings in its territory. India says that peace on the border is necessary for normal relations with China.
Turkey also abstained from the G20 meeting
According to media reports, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have not yet registered for the summit. Apart from this, Turkey has also abstained from the G20 meeting to be held in Kashmir. It is worth noting that Turkey has raised questions on the way India has dealt with the Kashmir problem earlier also.
Explain that along with G-20 members, representatives of many international institutions and guest nations have also been invited to this meeting. Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and United Arab Emirates are some of them. According to officials, except Egypt, all other countries have registered to send representatives. Two meetings of the Tourist Working Group have been held so far. One of these took place in Siliguri and Darjeeling and the other in the Rann of Kutch.
