Under this scheme, the government has announced PLI (Production Link Incentive) of 17000 crores. Experts believe that with this plan, India will get great success in the IT hardware segment.
In fact, the government is trying to make smartphones, laptops and other equipment related to it in India only. Till now all these goods have been imported from China. Now the government is trying to provide all kinds of facilities to those businessmen under PLI. So that they can manufacture them in India only. Till now only assembling work was being done in India.

Under the PLI scheme 2.0, the government will help those companies to setup the entire business. If someone manufactures it in India, then those businessmen will be given a projection link incentive. Under this scheme, from the business setup to the construction process of those companies, funds will be provided under PLI. Actually India has become the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the whole world. Now if parts of smartphones and laptops start being made in India, then it can prove to be a big blow for China.
17000 crore will be spent like this
The government is encouraging production links to sectors so that India can become self-sufficient in those sectors. In which we still have to rely on some other country. Under this, the government has also made several announcements for sectors like medical equipments, steel, auto. The effect of these announcements of the government has also started showing. Now the announcement of 17000 crores made for IT hardware sector will be used in several phases. This amount can be spent in 6 years.
Relief on the employment front
Companies and businessmen will definitely get the benefit of PLI scheme. Along with this, thousands of new employment opportunities will also be created in the country. At the same time, the prices of mobiles, laptops and other gadgets will also be reduced in India. Earlier, the government has increased the amount received in the IT hardware segment. Earlier this amount was 7,350 crores. Now it has been increased to Rs 17000 crore. Experts believe that with this decision, about 75,000 direct jobs will be generated in the country.
