It will not be right to make Ishan Kishan's Test debut in WTC Final, Dinesh Karthik gave the important reason

There is a discussion about India's wicketkeeper in the final (WTC Final) match of the World Test Championship to be held against Australia next month. The team has options in the form of KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan. Both the players are not very experienced but Kishan is yet to make his Test debut. At the same time, Dinesh Karthik also believes that feeding Kishan a debut test in the WTC final is like expecting too much from the player. Kishan was included in the WTC final squad after KL Rahul was injured and ruled out of the only Test during the IPL.

The final of the World Test Championship between India and Australia is to be played at The Oval, London, from June 7. Some of the Indian players have already reached for this match, while the busy players in IPL 2023 will leave after the matches of their respective teams are over.

Speaking on the ICC review, Karthik called KS Bharath an obvious choice as wicketkeeper in the final clash. He stressed that to put Kishan on such a platform for his Test debut would be asking too much of him. They said,

I think Bharat will be a very straightforward choice as it is asking a bit too much for Ishan Kishan to play a Test match on his debut and straight into the World Test Championship final. Bharat is a better wicketkeeper than Kishan - Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik also believes that KS Bharath is a slightly better wicket-keeper than Ishan Kishan, and that could work in his favour. They said,

And the fact that KS Bharat takes a slight edge in his favor due to his keeping. So I think he will go with KS Bharath in the final.
