Salon cut hair wrongly
After the decision of the Commission, Hotel ITC Maurya had placed the matter before the Supreme Court. And asked to reconsider the decision. Model Aashna Roy went to a salon for a job interview 4 years ago. His regular hair dresser was not present on this day, after which another dresser cut his hair wrongly. And he was shocked by it.
However, the hair became dry and discolored due to it. Along with his complaint, Roy had said in the Commission and the Supreme Court that on complaining about this, the staff of the salon located in the hotel resorted to rudeness in a derogatory tone. In such a situation, her interview opportunity also went out of hand and in this way she missed the most important opportunity of her life.
The commission had imposed a fine of two crores.
The consumer forum had asked Hotel ITC Maurya to pay compensation of three crore rupees along with a written complaint. Commission's judge RK Aggarwal and Dr. SM Kantikar ordered Hotel Maurya to pay two crore rupees along with 9 percent interest. After which the hotel has challenged the case in the Supreme Court.
