Online Game: Which online games have to be played right and which wrong, government will tell soon

In February, MeitY asked Apple to remove betting games from the App Store and recently Apple demanded a solid reason from the government to remove betting games from the App Store. Explain that while replying to Apple and Google, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) will be created by the gaming industry for online gaming .

But till the time the SRO is not ready, only the government will certify that which online games are allowed and which are not. Let us tell you that a notification in this regard has been issued for platforms like Google and Apple.

Apple had sought answers from the government

Let us tell you that in a recent Economic Times report, it was mentioned that before accepting the MeitY order issued in February, Apple had sought a solid reason from the government to remove betting apps from the App Store.

Government's reply came in response to Apple

Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that we are waiting for the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) to be formed, but till this is not prepared, the government will certify which games are allowed. In which it is being asked to bet and in which it is not.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the central government will write a letter to all major companies including Apple and Google that if any company is facing any confusion in removing real money gaming, gambling or betting games from Play Store or App Store. He can contact MeitY.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar told that Apple or Google SRO will help these companies to determine which games are allowed and which are not. Please tell that it will take about 2 to 3 months for the SRO to be finalized.

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar told that Apple has written to MeitY that Apple has removed about 68-70 apps but there is a problem in locating the URLs of the remaining apps.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that I think there are seven different versions of the game and the company is not able to figure out which one to remove. This is the reason that we will certify that which game is allowed and which is not.
