The country also has table top airports at Lengpui in Mizoram, Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, Kullu and Kozhikode in Kerala. The first table top airport has been completed in UP.

Table Top Airport: Uttar Pradesh's first table top airport has been completed in Chitrakoot, the abode of Lord Ram. It should be expected that very soon small ships will be able to take off and land from here. Those small airports are called table tops , which are built on a high hill and have ditches on both sides.

There are many such airports in the country. Here a lot of care has to be taken in both landing and taking off the ship. Very experienced pilots are put in operation at the table top airport, because there is a possibility of an accident in a minor mistake.

Airport built in Chitrakoot

This airport of Chitrakoot is about 12 km away from the city in Devangana area. Civil Aviation Department of Uttar Pradesh has made it. 145 crores have been spent on this. This airport was started in the year 2005 but could be completed now. The Yogi government got all its incomplete works completed.

The runway was expanded and lounges etc. were built here. This airport will be able to fly 20 seater aircraft easily. This will be the first operational airport in the entire Bundelkhand. After the Bundelkhand Expressway, this second big gift has been prepared which will give wings to the dreams of the people here. With the commissioning of the airport, the number of tourists is also expected to increase here.

Other table top airports in the country are located at Lengpui in Mizoram, Shimla and Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, Pakyong in Sikkim, Mangaluru in Karnataka and Kozhikode and Kannur in Kerala. In other countries of the world, this type of airport has been established only in neighboring Nepal, America and Netherlands.
