'41 died in UP police custody', Kapil Sibal asks Amit Shah this question


Kapil Sibal Attack On BJP:
Kapil Sibal attacked Home Minister Amit Shah on the murder of gangster Jeeva in Lucknow court premises.

New Delhi: Senior lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has targeted Home Minister Amit Shah today i.e. on Thursday . He asked whether the Home Minister is concerned about the killing of people in police custody . For your information, let us tell you that on Wednesday, June 7, Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva was shot dead in a court in Lucknow. Jeeva is an associate of gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari.

A policeman and a two-year-old girl were injured in the incident. Sibal tweeted that 'How and why: Between 2017-2022, 41 people have been killed in police custody in UP. Sibal said that recently Jeeva was shot dead in police custody in Lucknow court. Earlier, Atiq and Ashraf were also killed in police custody.

'The accused fired 6 bullets at Jeeva'

Tullu Tajpuria was shot in Tihar. Sibal said, Amit ji, are you not worried? But we are. Please inform that Jeeva was shot dead on Wednesday around 4 pm. The accused has been identified as Vijay Yadav (24). He was wearing a lawyer's dress. Eyewitnesses told that the accused had fired about six bullets. And he was arrested from the spot.

Ateeq-Ashraf were killed two months ago in police custody

Giving information in the case, a police officer said that the accused was serving life sentence in Jeeva Jail. He was brought to the court for trial where the assailant opened fire. Earlier on April 15, gangster Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were also shot dead by the assailants.

After which this incident happened almost two months later. Since the incident, the opposition has been attacking the Yogi government. Sibal, who was a minister in the Congress government, has recently left the Congress. He was elected to Rajya Sabha as an independent member with the support of SP.
