9 Years of Modi Govt: China's CPEC not being successful, India's big success, Jaishankar counted 9 years of Modi government's work

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that today people want to listen to India. He feels that by working with India, his influence will also increase. A large part of the world sees us as partners.

On completion of 9 years of Modi government, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has told how the world has started considering us as truly international. He said that the failure of China's C-PAC or putting Pakistan in the dock on the issue of terrorism is a big success for India. The world has now really started believing that we are international. A large part of the world has started seeing India as a development partner. His faith and confidence in India has increased.

While addressing a press conference on Thursday, the Foreign Minister said, referring to China, Bangladesh and Pakistan, he said that the Land Boundary Agreement with Bangladesh has opened the way for development in the Northeast. The way the response is being given on the border with China or the success achieved in putting Pakistan in the dock regarding terrorism, the security of the country has been strengthened. The failure of China's C-PAC (CPEC) or BRI is also India's success.

He said that the success of India's foreign policy can be judged from two angles. Firstly, how the world is looking at India and secondly, what has been the effect of foreign policy on the lives of Indians. More than 600 projects have been completed by India in 78 countries. Referring to the Corona period, he said that during that period many people had left their citizens to fend for themselves, while India brought back at least 70 lakh people from abroad.

'India did not bow down to anyone's pressure'

Referring to the field of semi-conductor chips, Jaishankar said that more than 40,000 Indian engineers are working in this field. He said that QUAD was established in 2008 but then it could not move forward under pressure but in 2018 we did not bow down to any kind of pressure and QUAD2 could be realised. Organizations like QUAD, I2U2, SCO are the achievements of Indian foreign policy in nine years. QUAD is a great example of our independent foreign policy.

Today more than 500 passport centers

On the other hand, regarding the passport center, the Foreign Minister said that in 2014, where there were only 77 passport centers, now its number has increased beyond 500. India is now issuing around 14 million passports every year. He said that India is the first G20 chairman who tried to hold discussions with other countries and 125 countries gave their responses because they have faith in us.
