The crops have suffered due to unseasonal rains between May and June. Apart from this, due to less production, there has been a rise in the price of pulses. On the other hand, apart from tomato and ginger, there has been an increase in the price of other green vegetables. Increase in the price of Arhar

Even if we don't talk about retail shops, an increase of more than 9 percent in a month in pigeon pea is being seen in the government website as well. According to the figures of the Department of Consumer Affairs, the price of Arhar dal was Rs.142 on June 8 in the country's capital Delhi. Whereas on May 8, the same price was Rs 130 per kg. This means that the price of 10 pulses has increased by Rs 10 per kg in a month. At the same time, some media reports claim that the retail price of pigeon pea has increased by Rs 20 per kg in the open market in a month.

What about other pulses

If we talk about gram dal, no significant effect has been seen in one month. Even on May 8, the price of gram dal was Rs 72 and even now the same prices have remained. According to the figures of the Department of Consumer Affairs, there has been no change in the price of urad dal. On both May 8 and June 8, the price of pulses has been seen at Rs 123 per kg only. Moong dal has become costlier by Re 1 per kg. Moong dal was Rs 112 per kg in Delhi on May 8 and today, on June 8, the price of the same pulse has gone up to Rs 113 per kg. There has also been a boom in lentils. A month back, lentils were priced at Rs 92 per kg, which has increased to Rs 92 per kg on June 8.

Increase in the price of vegetables

On the other hand, there is a rise in the prices of vegetables. Giving information according to the figures, General Secretary of Vegetable Traders Association, Anil Malhotra said that the price of 25 kg tomatoes has reached Rs 250 to Rs 300. It is clear that the maximum price of tomato has reached Rs 80 to 100 per kg in Delhi and different areas of the country. On the other hand, the price of capsicum has seen a rise of Rs 15 to 17 per kg in a month. Earlier the price of capsicum was Rs 5 to 7 per kg, which has increased to Rs 20 to 25 per kg. There has also been a rise in the price of okra. In the month of May, the price of okra was being sold at Rs 20 to 25 per kg, which has come down to Rs 30 to 35 per kg in June.
