In the Modi government, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar says that the government will regulate technologies like Artificial Intelligence, so that users can be protected from its possible harm. With this, he said that there is no threat to jobs from AI for the next few years, although this may happen after the next 5 to 7 years.

Government will protect digital citizens

IT Minister Rajeev Shekhar says that the intention of the government is clear regarding AI or any other regulation. We will regulate this technology from the point of view of 'not harming the users'. This is a new ideology, which is continuing since 2014. In this, our entire emphasis has been on protecting the interests of our digital citizens.

He said that the government will not allow any platform that harms digital citizens in the country. If AI companies have to work here, they have to reduce the harm caused to the users.

Power to work on new technologies in India

Referring to the visit of OpenAI founder and CEO Sam Altman to India, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that his coming here shows India's ability to work on emerging technologies.

Sam Altman also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to India. At the same time, the answer to one of his challenges was given by Tech Mahindra CEO C.P. Gurnani has given.

Actually Sam Altman had said that Indian IT companies will not be able to compete with similar companies of Silicon Valley regarding technology like AI. In response to this, C.P. Gurnani said that he has 'accepted the challenge'.
