Amit Shah made a plan of 8000 crores to deal with the disaster, this is how the picture will change with 3 schemes

According to Amit Shah, disaster management is not a new concept in our country. There are documents available from Chanakya's Arthashastra to works of state administration of mythological times, all of which talk about disaster management.

Earthquake tremors were felt in most areas of Delhi NCR and North India on Tuesday. Well, no news of any damage has been received, but Biparjoy storm is moving fast in the coastal areas of Gujarat and it is threatening many areas of Gujarat. These circumstances of any country are known as Natural Disaster. In the evening, the country's Home Minister Amit Shah, who himself has not only grown up as a Member of Parliament from Gujarat, also announced three schemes related to natural disasters. In which a huge package of Rs 8000 crore will be spent.

During this announcement, Amit Shah said that his only aim is that there should be no loss of life or property due to natural disaster in the country. In such a situation, this package has been announced to improve the disaster management. This package will be divided into three schemes i.e. three parts. The first part of this will be spent on advancing the fire brigade. The second part will be spent on how to deal with floods and the third part will be spent on how to deal with landslides. So let's try to understand this announcement of Amit Shah in detail.

These are the three plans

1. Fire Brigade Service Plan: Fire incidents keep on happening continuously in the country. There can be many reasons for this, in which there is a lot of loss. Earlier fire brigade facilities were also available in some areas of the country, now fire brigade is present in every district of the country, but whether they have advanced technology and facilities is a big question. The solution to this question is this package in which five thousand crore rupees have been announced. The fire brigade facilities of the country will be advanced with this package. New and modern equipment will be arranged. So that small or big fire can be controlled as soon as possible and the loss is minimized

2. Plan to deal with floods: Amit Shah announced a package of Rs 2500 crores to deal with floods under the second scheme. Well flood is such a situation which is limited to only a few metros in urban areas. Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune are included. A blue print will be prepared for reducing or eliminating the flood situation in these metros.

3. Landslide Dealing Plan: Most of the land slides are seen in 17 states of the country, including Uttarakhand, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra etc. . To deal with this, the central government has announced a package of Rs 825 crore.

The changing nature of disasters

The Home Minister said that in the last 9 years, the central government along with the states has done a lot of work in the direction of disaster management, but no one should be satisfied because disasters are constantly changing their form and their intensity is also increasing. Is. That's why we all have to keep expanding our preparations. Disaster management is not a new concept in our country. There are documents available from Chanakya's Arthashastra to works of state administration of mythological times, all of which talk about disaster management.

This is how it works

Shah said that during the Kovid-19 pandemic, under the leadership of PM Modi, along with the chief ministers of the states, the country successfully faced the worst pandemic of the century. He said that in those difficult times, it is an excellent example before the world that how the Centre, the states and the public can fight together against the disaster on all fronts. He said that earlier the country's approach to disaster was relief oriented and reactionary and it used to work only on relief and rehabilitation. He said that in the last nine years everyone has come together and implemented pre-warning system, prevention, mitigation and preparedness based disaster management.

States need to work on these policies

Responding to the suggestion of some state ministers to increase the compensation to the farmers facing natural calamity, the Home Minister said that the central government will look into it seriously but the states will also have to increase their budgetary provision for this. Talking about the Model Fire Bill, Disaster Prevention Policy, Thunderstorm and Lightning Policy and Cold Wave Policy made by the Central Government, Shah said that most of the states have either not implemented them or have prepared work plans.

Work is being done on disaster friend

He appealed to all the states to work on these on priority and appreciated those who have already prepared or implemented the action plans. Shah said that under the Aapda Mitra scheme, one lakh youth volunteers are being prepared in 350 disaster-affected districts and it has yielded good results to deal with many disasters which are positive and encouraging.
