Ashneer Grover did not get relief from Delhi High Court in 81 crore fraud, investigation will continue

Last month, apart from Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri, an FIR was registered by the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police against two more family members. In this, 8 cases were registered against these people in the FIR.

Former Managing Director of BharatPe App Ashneer and his family have got a big blow from the Delhi High Court in the fraud case. During the hearing of the fraud case on Thursday, the court rejected the petition to stay the investigation. After this decision, the investigation of the entire case will continue on Ashneer Grover along with his wife Madhuri. On the other hand, the Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Economic Offenses Wing of the Delhi Police on a petition seeking cancellation of the FIR and has asked the investigating agency as well as the complainant BharatPe to present its stand. The court also issued a notice on the application to stay the investigation.

What the court said

The court said that there is no solid ground to stop the investigation in the case. As far as the advance written information of arrest is concerned, the appellant is at liberty to take any further course of action in accordance with law. On the other hand, the counsel for the petitioners argued that the FIR was based on mala fide and the allegations pertained to matters related to GST and company management, which he was anyway entitled to do as a director.

8 cases registered

Last month, apart from Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri, an FIR was registered by the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police against two more family members. In this, 8 cases were registered against these people in the FIR. If the allegations against Ashneer and Madhuri are proved, then both will be sentenced to 10-10 years. On the other hand EOW can also arrest.

How did the company make allegations

Ashneer Grover was accused by the unicorn company Bharat Pay that his family made fake bills. Along with this, he had paid by putting bills of fake vendors and transferred the same money to his account. According to Bharat Pay, Ashneer Grover has not contributed to the technology and concept of his company and has misused his money.
