Big 'game' in Pakistan! Panama Papers case reopened after 7 years, trouble on Sharif family

Pakistan News:
The war between Shehbaz Sharif and the Supreme Court is coming to the fore in Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan has tried to reduce the powers of the judiciary on several occasions.

Is another new turn going to be seen in the political game of Pakistan ? Till now Imran Khan seemed to be in trouble, but now the clouds of danger have started hovering over the Sharif family. The case of Panama Papers, in which former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had to first leave the jail and then go to London, has been reopened.

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan demanding punishment for all 436 people whose names were in the list of the leaked paper. The names of Nawaz Sharif family members are also there in this list. Clearing the dust after many years, the Supreme Court has fixed June 9 as the date for the hearing of the case. Jamaat-e-Islami had first filed the petition in the year 2016.

Then the next year again a petition was filed demanding action against all those people who had eaten the country's money. However, at that time a five-judge bench had separated the case from Nawaz Sharif's case. The court had, however, assured that the matter would be taken up for hearing at an appropriate time. Now on June 9, a two-member bench headed by Justice Tariq Masood will hear.

Notice to Attorney General as well

However, no leader or businessman was named in the petition of Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Sirajul Haque. But it was said that action should be taken against the names in the Panama Papers leak. The Federation of Pakistan, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Finance, Cabinet Division and National Accountability Bureau have been made respondents in the petition. Earlier around 200 names had come in this list, then the number increased and crossed 400. Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif's name was also in this list. Now notice has been issued to Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Awan and others.

Nawaz Sharif was punished

In April 2016, the Panama Papers leak created panic all over the world. The then Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif also came in the grip. It was revealed in the investigation that Nawaz Sharif has collected property illegally. The Supreme Court bench disqualified him for the post of PM and sentenced him to 10 years. Later, due to medical reasons, he got permission to go to London. Since then Nawaz Sharif has not been able to return back to Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif's son-in-law Captain (Retired) Safdar and daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif are also named in this case. In such a situation, their difficulties may increase.
