India Bans 150 Sites: Government banned 150 Anti-India sites and YouTube channels in two years, know the reason

Government has banned 150 Anti-India sites and YouTube channels in two years, know here the reason behind it.

More than 150 websites and YouTube-based news channels have been banned by the Ministry and Information Broadcasting (I&B) since May 2021. These sites and channels used to create and post content against India. The websites and channels were taken down on violation of IT Section Act 69A, which allows the Center to issue orders to any government agency or intermediary to block content in the interest of India's integrity, security of India .

Ministry banned these youtube channels

Blocked more than 150 websites and YouTube news channels for making content against India. In this, the YouTube news channels which have been banned did not have many subscribers on their YouTube channel. It had over 12,123,500 subscribers and its content was viewed by just over 1,426,900 people.

The list of banned channels includes News With Facts, Information hub, Flash Now, Mera Pakistan, and Apni Duniya TV. Under the new IT rules made on February 25, 2021, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued an order to block YouTube channels from the platform for spreading false information and posing a threat to the country's security.

So many YouTube channels banned in July 2022

According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in July 2022, 78 YouTube news channels and 560 YouTube links were not allowed to reach the public between 2021 and 2022 due to going against the rules, their channels were frozen. According to him, strict action will be taken against the person who tries to conspire on social media account and spread false rumors by misleading people.

According to reports, in January 2022, the Center had blocked 35 Pakistan-based YouTube channels and two websites because they were spreading fake news against India by forming groups on digital media.
