Omar Abdullah: Government supported the removal of Article 370, now seeking help from the opposition, Omar Abdullah's taunt on Kejriwal

An ordinance was brought by the central government on the right of transfer and posting of officers in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal is seeking support from different parties to garner support against this ordinance.

National Conference leader and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Saturday took a jibe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He asked where was Arvind Kejriwal when Article 370 was removed from the Valley? He was standing with the government at that time and today he is seeking support from other parties on the ordinance. Actually, Arvind Kejriwal is going to different parties to gather support against the ordinance brought by the central government in Delhi.

Talking to media persons in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri, Abdullah asked, 'Where was Arvind Kejriwal when Article 370 was removed? At that time he supported the government and today he is seeking support from other parties. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wants the ordinance brought by the central government to be repealed. For this, they need a majority in the Rajya Sabha. This is the reason why they are requesting support from different parties.

Akhilesh assured support

On the other hand, Delhi CM Kejriwal met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Wednesday. During this, the Samajwadi Party chief assured Kejriwal that he would support him against the Centre's ordinance. Akhilesh Yadav said that this ordinance is completely anti-democratic. I want to assure CM Arvind Kejriwal that our party stands with him and we will support you.

Kejriwal thanked Akhilesh

Kejriwal says that this ordinance can be stopped from passing in the Rajya Sabha only when all non-BJP parties come together. This will not only prevent the ordinance from being passed, but will also send a strong message before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Delhi CM further said that I would like to thank SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who has assured that his party will support him in the state Rajya Sabha.

Which leaders have Kejriwal met?

So far the Delhi CM has joined West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Telangana CM KCR, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Bihar CM for support against the ordinance. Have met with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.
