Pain during Periods: Heart problems can occur due to excessive pain during periods, follow these measures to reduce pain

Periods means that for the next 5 days some internal changes take place in your body. All women complain of pain during periods. According to Fan Moo, lead author of the research at Bringham and Women's Hospital, women with endometriosis have a three times higher risk of heart attack than other women. Not only this, the surprising thing is that this danger is more for teenage girls. 

Home remedies to reduce period pain 

1. Coconut or Sesame Oil 

Massaging the lower abdomen with coconut or sesame oil provides relief during period pain. Coconut and sesame oil have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties and linoleic acid which reduces body spasm and relieves pain. 

2. Do Yoga

Avoid doing heavy work during this time. Do light exercises like yoga. Along with this, walking will give you relief in pain. Exercising releases endorphins which help in relieving body cramps and pain. 

3. Consume Ginger

Consuming ginger may be able to give you relief from period pain. For this finely chop a piece of ginger and boil it well in a cup of water. Add sugar or honey to it and drink it thrice a day. 

4. Fenugreek can be effective 

Fenugreek can also be effective in getting rid of period pain. Soak one spoon of fenugreek in a glass of water and drink this water on the second day. Along with reducing obesity, it keeps kidney, liver etc. healthy.

5. Bake with hot water 

During this, you can also get a lot of relief by doing compresses on the stomach. By compressing with hot water or heating pad, you can get relief from the pain in periods. 

6. Cumin tea 

You can use cumin in tea to get relief from period pain. Elements called anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic are found in cumin, which help in reducing pain.
