On May 28, 1991, her neighbor Shakira Khalili disappeared. This was the reason that as soon as this information was received, this news spread like a wild fire. The most important thing about this murder mystery is that it was solved by sitting on a liquor vend. When the information of Khalili's murder came in front of the world, everyone was shocked.

Who Was Shakira Khalili?

Shakira was born in 1947 and came from the most famous families of South India. She was the daughter of Ghulam Hussain Namazi and Gauhar Taj Begum Namazi. Taj Begum was the youngest daughter of Sir Mirza Ismail. Shakira was the best singer. At the age of just 18, she got married to her cousin Akbar Mirza Khalili. Akbar Mirza Khalili was an Indian diplomat.

However, Shakira was not very happy with her marriage. Meanwhile, he met Murli Mishra in 1982, who had changed his name to Swami Shraddhanand. Shakira was greatly influenced by Swami Shraddhanand. After which in 1986 she divorced Akbar Mirza and married Shraddhanand. But at that time she could not understand the plans of her husband.

When did Shakira disappear?

Actually, Shakira had many properties in her name and she was the owner of immense wealth. His house was in the heart of Bangalore. She suddenly disappeared on May 28, 1991. Shakira had four daughters, out of which Saba used to always talk to him. When the mother did not speak after May 28, she asked Shraddhanand where Shakira was, so he did not tell anything clearly. But she definitely said that she has gone to London to get her treatment done.

However, the daughter knew that the truth was something else. Sabah filed a habeas corpus petition in 1992 for her missing mother. At that time, retired police officer BB Ashok Kumar used to stay near Shakira's house. He had told that everyone was suspicious of Shraddhanand from the beginning. But when the police interrogated him, he would stick to his London statement. The biggest problem was that the police had to find the dead body to prove the murder, which was not being found.

How was the murder revealed?

Bangalore Police was not getting any success in this matter. Then the Central Crime Branch, the special wing of the police, took over the responsibility of the investigation. The then city police commissioner P Kodanda Ramaiah supervised the investigation in the high-profile case. However, several rounds of questioning of Shraddhanand and Shakira's family members were also of no use.

Then in March 1994, police constable Mahadeva started increasing friendship with Shraddhanand's servant Raju. The friendship of both started with alcohol. A few days later, at a liquor contract, Raju told Mahadeva that Shraddhanand had buried his wife alive. In this way, the search for Shakira, which has been going on for three years, ended and Shraddhanand was arrested.
