Tajmahal Yamuna Water Level: There are reports that Yamuna water has reached the wall of Tajmahal. So do you know if the water level rises, can it go to the Taj Mahal?

The water level of Yamuna has increased significantly in many states of the country including New Delhi. After flowing above the danger mark in Delhi, the water level of Yamuna has also increased significantly in Agra. After incessant rains, the level of Yamuna has also increased in Agra. There are reports that the water of Yamuna has come up to the wall of Taj Mahal, which has happened for the first time in the last few years. Seeing the increasing water in the Yamuna, people are feeling that now this water will enter inside the Taj Mahal, due to which there may be problems in the historical building.

But some experts say that if the water level of Yamuna increases even more, the building of Taj Mahal will not be affected and water will not enter inside the building even during floods. In such a situation, the question arises as to why it is being said for the Taj Mahal that even if there is excess water, water will not come inside the Taj Mahal.

Let us tell you that such a sight has been seen after about half a century, when the water of Yamuna has come close to the walls of Taj Mahal. It is being told that this happened in the year 1978, when Yamuna water reached the walls. Right now it is visible in the pictures that the garden built behind the Taj Mahal has been submerged in water and the water has come very close to the Taj Mahal. But there is nothing to worry about the Taj Mahal in case of excessive water logging.

Water will not come even in flood

In fact, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which oversees the UNESCO World Heritage Site, says that there is no threat to this historic building from water. ASI's superintending archaeologist Raj Kumar Patel told The Indian Express in this context, "There is no possibility that flood water will enter the monument. The building has been designed in such a way that there is no danger." The official says that even if there is a heavy flood, water cannot enter the tomb.

Not much, less water is the danger

Along with this, the main tomb is built on a high platform. It stands on chameli floor and has 42 wells in its foundation and above the wells there is a structure of sal woods. The Taj Mahal is built on a wooden foundation in a way and it is said for those woods that they become stronger than water. Actually, when the water in the Yamuna decreases, then it is a matter of concern for the Taj Mahal, because it weakens the wood in the foundation. Some woods are such that they get oxygen only through water and due to this they remain stronger.

From this it can be inferred that the Taj Mahal has been designed in a special way, due to which there is no danger to the building. At present, the Yamuna is flowing at a level of 498 feet in Agra, in which the low flood level is 495 feet and the middle level is 499 feet. But it is believed that in the coming days the flood water can cross 500 feet.
