In Hindu religion, a lot of glory has been given to the Guru. How important is the Guru in the Sanatan tradition, you can also guess from the fact that he has been given a higher status than that Govind who runs the whole world. This is because if there is anyone who can identify Govind, then it is the Guru. Every year the holy festival of Ashadh Purnima is celebrated for the worship of this Guru. On this day people worship their Guru expressing their faith and trust in him, but what should he do if he does not have a Guru? Let us know who should be worshiped in the absence of Guru.
Why Guru is important in life
According to Hindu belief, life guru takes a person out of darkness and leads him towards light. A Guru is such a person who takes many people to their destination while staying at one place. He shows a person the right path of life by telling the difference between right and wrong and gives him the knowledge to achieve his goal. Guru gives the knowledge of religion, culture, etc. in life. Guru gives us that knowledge which no thief can ever steal. According to the Sanatan tradition, be it any spiritual practice related to life or any worship work, it cannot be successful without a Guru.
Then worship your mother
If you haven't found a guru even after searching, then you should worship that person who not only gave birth to you but also taught you the first lesson of walking, sitting, speaking etc. in this life. Certainly the place of Guru is above, but even above that is the place of parents, by circumambulating which Lord Shri Ganesha becomes the first to be worshipped. In this too, the mother is paramount because she makes her children a better person by giving them good manners. In such a situation, if there is no guru, then worship your mother.
What to do when there is no guru
In the Sanatan tradition, the solution to all the problems related to life has been told. If you don't have a Guru, then a man should consider his presiding deity as his Guru and worship him on the day of Guru Purnima. According to Hindu belief, on the day of Guru Purnima, in the absence of a Guru, the first worshiper is Lord Shri Ganesha, the visible deity Lord Surya, Lord Shiva, who is considered to be the deity of public welfare, Lord Shri Vishnu, Lord of the world, Lord Shri Krishna, Shakti or Shakti. One can worship Lord Shri Hanuman, the deity of Kalyug, considering him as a Guru.
