2nd ODI: Imam and Babar's half-centuries overshadowed Gurbaz's century, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 1 wicket

 


Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by one wicket in the second match of the three-match ODI series. Imam-ul-Haq, captain Babar Azam's half-centuries overshadowed Gurbaz's century in this match. With this, Pakistan captured the series 2-0. Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first in this match. 

Afghanistan batting first scored 300 in 50 overs losing 5 wickets. The maximum 151 (151) runs from the team came off the bat of opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz. In this innings, he hit 14 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from him, Ibrahim Zadran faced 101 balls and played a half-century inning of 80 runs with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. Both these openers gave a great start to the team by sharing 227 (241) runs for the first wicket. Shaheen Afridi took maximum 2 wickets for Pakistan. Naseem Shah and Usama Mir got one wicket each. 

Chasing the target, Pakistan won the match by losing 9 wickets in 49.5 overs and scoring 302 runs. Imam-ul-Haq scored the maximum 91 (105) runs from Pakistan. In this innings, he hit 4 fours. Apart from him, captain Babar Azam faced 66 balls and played a half-century innings of 53 runs with the help of 6 fours.

At the same time, Shadab Khan played an inning of 48 runs in 35 balls with the help of 3 fours and a six. Naseem Shah gave victory to the team by hitting a four on the 5th ball of the last over. He scored 10* runs in 5 balls with the help of 2 fours. Fazalhaq Farooqui took the maximum 3 wickets from Afghanistan. Mohammad Nabi took 2 wickets. Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Abdul Rehman managed to add one wicket each to their account.
