After almost 11 years, Akshay Kumar has brought the second part of OMG i.e. OMG 2. The film has been released in theaters on August 11 and is earning a bumper. The first part of the film was directed by Umesh Shukla and the second part was directed by Amit Rai. Amidst the success of the film, Amit Rai told that this film was made because of Akshay Kumar.
Amit Rai said that the script of the film was rejected by many producers. This includes Soni, Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker, as well as many more. After which Akshay Kumar showed courage and said that this film should be made. The director said, “If we are standing strong today, it is only because of Akshay Kumar, if he was not there then OMG 2 would not have been made.”
What did you say on the A certificate?
Significantly, OMG 2 is also in discussion these days because of the censor certificate. CBFC has given this film an A certificate, due to which the makers are disappointed. In this interview, Amit Rai said that he is still fighting for the certificate that the film has got. He said that we tried hard to get the U/A certificate for the film and this effort is still going on.
Amit Rai revealed that after the film Road to Sangam, he was sitting at home for 10 years, no one was giving him work. He said, "So you make a film and then you are told that you cannot show the film."
OMG 2 Box Office Collection
OMG 2 is clashing with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 at the box office. Despite that, this film is earning well. In 6 days of release, this film has earned 79.47 crores. At the same time, it is being speculated that soon this film will join the club of 100 crores.
