Axar Patel used to bowl fast ball spin, became pacer from batter and then spinner; You also listen to the funny story of Axar

The journey of Axar Patel to become a cricketer is quite interesting. Today this left-handed player plays the role of an all-rounder for the Indian team, but Akshar did not always want to be an all-rounder. Actually, Akshar used to be a batsman like any other child in his childhood, but with time his interest grew in bowling and he started doing it. Akshar has recalled his old days and told how he used to bowl fast bowling spin in his childhood.

Akshar Patel shared his funny journey on a podcast show. He said, 'I wanted to become a batsman. No one likes bowling and fielding in childhood. Everyone likes to bat. I also started as a batsman. I used to play at number three-four, but I used to get bored while fielding because the overs were not cut. That's why I started bowling.

Narrating his funny story, Akshar further said, 'I was a part time bowler. I used to bowl fast, but then my coach chased him. He told that my foot is falling crookedly which can cause injury. Then I thought I would put spin. Then I started spin bowling. I used to bowl 4-5 overs and I used to bowl fast bowling spinners. The batsman also used to think that he is going to bowl with four steps, he will bowl spin and I used to hit hard on the leg and in that I used to get one or two wickets. This is how my journey started.

Please tell that Akshar Patel has become an important member of the Indian team. In the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar played the role of an all-rounder in the team. Although he is currently considered the backup of Ravindra Jadeja, but it does not mean that Akshar does not have his own identity in the Indian team. Akshar is a team man and has played 12 Tests, 52 ODIs and 43 T20 matches for the Indian team so far.
