'Jio Bharat' will give digital freedom
To introduce 2G customers to the world of 4G, Mukesh Ambani launched Jio Bharat phone some time ago. Now its sale is going to start from tomorrow. Giving details of this phone, Akash Ambani, who oversees the functioning of Reliance Jio, said that JioBharat will be a gateway to digital freedom for those who are not able to buy smartphones. Its cost is almost equal to 2G phone, while it will provide 4G related facilities to the common people.
'Jio Bharat' will support UPI payment
Domestic handset company Karbonn Mobile is manufacturing the 4G enabled Jio Bharat phone for Reliance. Its price is only 999 rupees. To introduce people to the digital world, the feature of UPI payment has been given in this phone.
At the same time, people will be able to enjoy OTT platforms like 'Jio Cinema' and music streaming apps like 'Jio Saavn' on this phone. Not only this, people will also be able to watch more than 450 TV channels through 'Jio TV' on this phone. While keeping in view the need of the customers of this phone, a monthly plan of Rs 123 has been introduced for it. People will get 14 GB data, which is 30 percent less than other plans of Jio.
People will get the benefit of government subsidy
Reliance Industries informed that UPI payment in Jio India has been integrated with the 'Direct Benefit Transfer' (DBT) scheme of the Government of India. This will give special benefit to the poor and lower classes of the country. People will easily get the facility of balance check and real time notification.
