Chandrayaan heavy on Russia's Luna, why the world is eyeing ISRO's moon mission

Russia's Luna-25 may have been sent after a month from India's Chandrayaan-3, but it is expected to reach the moon by 20 August. Let us inform that Russia's Luna-25 is much more powerful than India's Chandrayaan-3, but the eyes of the world are focused on Chandrayaan-3.

In the race to step first on the moon, Russia has launched the Luna-25 mission. Russia wants to land on the moon as soon as possible through the Soyuz-2 freegate rocket. The discussion of Luna-25 is also increasing because it has been sent about a month after India's Chandrayaan mission, whereas it is ready to land on the moon three days before Chandrayaan. The eyes of the world are on who will land first on the south pole of the moon. Russia's Luna-25 may be considered more powerful than India's, but countries around the world are eyeing India's Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Let us tell you that the world is eyeing Chandrayaan-3 because it has been prepared at a very low cost. The total cost of Chandrayaan-3 is Rs 615 crores, which is much less than the budget of any Hollywood film. Although the Russian space agency Raskasmaz has not yet disclosed the total budget of Luna-25. Earlier, more than 1000 crores were spent in the Moon mission sent to America and China. All of them used jumbo rockets in their campaign.

Along with this, the cost of fuel in Chandrayaan is very less. In such a situation, if Chandrayaan-3 is sent directly to the moon, then the entire fuel will be exhausted. This is the reason why Indian scientists leave Chandrayaan-3 to revolve around the Earth, due to which it moves through the gravitational force of the Earth. Due to this, the use of fuel is reduced considerably. If we understand this in simple language, the way we get down from a moving bus, then we start running forward, similarly our Chandrayaan-3 also moves forward. Chandrayaan-3 changes its orbit with time.

Why Chandrayaan-3 is different

Chandrayaan-3 was launched by India on 14 July. Chandrayaan-3 has a lander, rover and a propulsion module. Chandrayaan 3 will work only for 14 days on the lunar surface. India's Chandrayaan 3 will send pictures of the lunar surface. Along with this, Chandrayaan 3 will gather information related to the atmosphere, minerals and soil there. The goal of Chandrayaan 3 is to soft land on the surface of the moon.

What is the specialty of Luna-25

Luna-25 has been specially designed keeping in view the lunar surface. Russia's lander has four legs. Inside it, there are landing rockets, sonal panels, computers and a robotic arm to dig a crater on the moon. Luna-25 will remain on the moon for one year. Luna-25 launched by Russia will work to find oxygen on the moon. Along with this, research will also be done on the internal structure of the moon. According to the scientists, a special system has been installed in Luna, which will collect soil and stone samples by digging on the moon, so that water can be discovered on the moon.
