However, tomatoes have become somewhat cheaper in many cities.

Right now the cheapest tomato is being sold in Assam in the country. The price of one kilo of tomatoes in Barpeta here is Rs.40. In such a situation, people from nearby districts are also coming here to buy tomatoes. At the same time, after Barpeta, the cheapest tomatoes are being sold in Ropar, Punjab. Here the cost of one kg tomato is Rs 41. However, in Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab, tomatoes are still available at Rs 140 per kg. The special thing is that the most expensive tomato was sold here in the month of July. Then the price of one kg of tomato had become Rs.350.

Tomato is being sold at Rs 167 a kg in Jammu.

At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir is at the third place in terms of cheap tomatoes. In its capital Srinagar, the price of one kg tomato is Rs 63.
