Medicine counters will be at 50 stations
According to the Ministry of Railways, Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra will be opened to provide cheap medicines to the passengers at the stations. As a pilot project, 50 railway stations across the country have been selected. Where these centers will be opened on the premises and cheap medicines can be given to the people. However, for this the medical store owners will have to take a license.
These centers will be opened in 20 state and UT stations. The main ones are Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu Kashmir, Uttarakhand.

Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Veerangana Laxmi Bai, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Banaras, Agra Cantt, Mathura, Rishikesh, Kashipur, Darbanga, Patna, Katiyar, Janggir-Naila, Bagbarha, Sini, Ankleshwar, Mehsana, Pendra Road, Ratlam, Madan Mahal, Bina, Sawai Madhopur, Bhagat Ki Kothi, Phagwara and Rajpura are major stations where centers will be opened.
