Farmers got bumper gift on Independence Day, loan of thousands of crores was forgiven

On the occasion of Independence Day, the Telangana government has given a big gift to the farmers of the state. On the evening of 14 August, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced the waiver of agricultural loans. The special thing is that agricultural loans will be waived off to farmers who have taken loans of less than one lakh rupees. This will directly benefit more than 9 lakh farmers of the state. The Chief Minister has ordered the release of paddy amounting to crores of rupees for loan waiver. At the same time, the faces of the farmers have blossomed due to this news. Farmers have praised this step of the government.

Actually, assembly elections are going to be held in Telangana by the end of this year. At the same time, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had promised the farmers after winning the last assembly elections that his government would waive off the loans of the farmers. This is the reason why he gave a huge gift of freedom to the farmers by waiving off their agricultural loans before the upcoming assembly elections. It is being said that a maximum loan of Rs 99,999 will be waived off. For this, the government will make direct payment to the banks.

This will make 902843 farmers debt free

Chief Minister K. Announcing the waiver of agricultural loans, Chandrasekhar Rao said that the government will pay the loans to the banks immediately. At the same time, after the order of the Chief Minister, the Finance Department has released an amount of Rs 5,809.78 crore for loan waiver. With this, 902843 farmers will be free from debt.

Banks were paid Rs 1943.64 crore

It is being said that after becoming the Chief Minister of the state for the second time, CM K Chandrasekhar Rao had promised to waive the loan of farmers who have taken agricultural loans of less than one lakh rupees till December 11, 2018. But, due to Corona virus and lockdown, the government could not take this decision. At the same time, on August 2, CM KCR had said that she would waive the loan in 45 days. Then the government had waived off the loan of 719488 farmers who had taken loans up to Rs 50,000. Instead, Rs 1943.64 crore was paid to the banks. At the same time, the government has now won the hearts of farmers by waiving agricultural loans up to Rs 99,999. A total of 1666899 farmers have benefited from the government's decision in this month. For this, the government has paid Rs 7753 crore to the banks.
