Harry Brook scored a century in just 41 balls in the 30th match of The Hundred. This century of Brook is the fastest century in the history of The Hundred. Playing for the Northern Superchargers, Brook scored a blistering century against Welsh Fire and showed the world that he deserved to be picked in the World Cup squad. This century came from Brook's bat when his team had lost their first three wickets for just 10 runs.
Brook brought up his half-century in 24 balls and then took just 17 more balls to reach the three-figure mark. Brook remained unbeaten after scoring 105 runs in 42 balls and his innings also saw 11 fours and 7 sixes. Brook's century in 41 balls is the fastest in the history of the Hundred. He became the third male player after Will Jacks and Will Smeed to score a century in the Hundred.
In addition, Brook's 105* is the third highest score in the history of the Hundred behind Beaumont (118) and Jaques (108*) and the highest ever by a Northern Superchargers player (male or female). Earlier, Jemimah Rodrigues scored the highest unbeaten 92 runs in the first edition for the Superchargers but now Brook has left her behind. However, even this innings of Brook could not win his team and the Welsh Fire team achieved the target of 159 runs given by the Superchargers in 90 balls.
