People think that turmeric is only yellow, but it is not like that. Turmeric is also black. The special thing is that the rate of black turmeric is also higher than that of yellow turmeric. It is used in making Ayurvedic medicines. Vitamins and minerals are also found more in it than yellow turmeric. This is the reason that now a farmer in Bihar has also started its cultivation. Due to this the farmer is earning well.
According to the information, the name of the farmer who cultivates black turmeric is Kamlesh Chaubey. He is a resident of Mushharwa village located in Narkatiaganj block of East Champaran. He has just started black turmeric cultivation on a patch of land. He had sown 25 kg of black turmeric in a piece of land, from which about one and a half quintals of turmeric was produced. Due to this they are earning well.
This much income will be earned by selling 150 kg of turmeric
The special thing is that Kamlesh had got its seeds from Nagaland to cultivate black turmeric. One kilo of seeds came for 500 rupees. In such a situation, he had to spend Rs 12,500 to buy 25 kg of seeds. Right now the price of black turmeric in the market is between Rs 500 to Rs 5000 per kg. If Kamlesh sells black turmeric even for Rs 1000 per kg, then after selling 150 kg turmeric, he will earn Rs 1.5 lakh.
So many properties are found in black turmeric
According to agricultural scientist Abhik Patra, black turmeric is very beneficial for health. Many medicinal medicines are made from this. Compared to yellow turmeric, its cost is many times more. At present, even in Uttarakhand, farmers are cultivating it on a large scale. Anthocyanin is found in abundance in black turmeric. That's why it looks dark purple. Along with this, special properties like anti-asthma, antioxidant, antifungal, anti-convulsant, analgesic, antibacterial and anti-ulcer are found in black turmeric.
