Income is not only from films, every month 'Deol family' gets so many lakhs from government treasury

Sunny Deol owes Rs 56 crore to Bank of Baroda. For this, the bank issued a notice of auction of his 'Sunny Villa' located in Juhu, but it was returned within 24 hours. Sunny Deol's earnings are not only from films or 'Sunny Sound Studio', but the entire 'Deol family' earns lakhs of rupees every month from government treasury or common man's tax money.

Ajay Singh Deol aka Sunny Deol is currently a BJP MP from Gurdaspur seat in Punjab. Before him, his father Dharmendra has also become MP on BJP ticket from Bikaner seat. While Dharmendra's second wife Hema Malini is currently a BJP MP from Mathura seat. The Deol family gets salary and other allowances as MPs and pension every month as former MPs. In this way, his family earns lakhs of rupees every month from the government treasury.

Government income of 'Deol family'

As a Lok Sabha MP, Sunny Deol gets a salary of Rs 1 lakh every month. Along with this, he also gets an allowance of Rs 2,000 per day for staying on duty (presence in Parliament). Apart from this, he is also given Rs 60,000 every month from the government treasury for working expenses, in which Rs 20,000 is given for office expenses and Rs 40,000 is given for maintaining the office staff.

If we look at the other facilities available as an MP, then they get Constituency Allowance for commuting and spending in the parliamentary constituency. Apart from this, travel allowance which includes all railway, road and air travel. He and his family get full cover under the medical allowance. Hema Malini also gets almost all these facilities as a Lok Sabha MP.

Dharmendra gets pension of former MP

Dharmendra, an integral part of the Deol family, was the MP of Bikaner from 2004 to 2009. According to a note from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, all former MPs currently get a pension of Rs 25,000 a month under the 'Salary, Allowance and Pension of Members of Parliament Act-1954'. If an MP remains a member of Parliament for more than 5 years, then he gets an additional pension of Rs 500 per year.

Now since Dharmendra has been an MP only once, he gets a pension of Rs 25,000 every month. If he had won in the second term also, he would have got the same pension of Rs 27,500 per month. Now, by making changes in this law, the Parliament has added an important condition in the rules of salary and pension for the coming time. Now the salary and pension of MPs will increase every 5 years on the basis of 'cost inflation index'. It has started from 1 April 2023.
