Photo sharing social media platform Instagram is working on a new feature. With this, content creators will be able to highlight comments on their stories. The company is testing this feature. Instagram head Adam Mosseri said in a post on the IG Updates channel that we want to make it easier for creators to highlight interesting comments. According to IANS news, Mosseri further says that we are testing the ability for public accounts to share comments from any public feed post or reels in their stories.
This is how the feature will be used
According to the news, it has been said that producers participating in the trial or testing of this feature can highlight a comment by swiping it and tapping on the Add to story icon. In the Stories feed, comments will appear alongside the actual post. However, Mosseri did not provide any information about the public rollout of the feature or the size of the trial. Instagram is working on a feature that will allow users to create audio notes.
Notes were first introduced in December 2022
Regarding the feature, the Instagram chief said that we have not started testing anything publicly yet, but we are working on the ability to create audio notes to share with your friends. Meta first introduced Notes to Instagram in December 2022, helping users share their thoughts and see what their friends are up to. When Meta introduced Notes, it said that the feature allows users to create short posts of up to 60 characters using only text and emoji.
