Famous lyricist Dev Kohli passed away at the age of 81. Dev Kohli breathed his last in a hospital in Mumbai today. Dev Kohli, who has written more than 100 songs in Bollywood, has written songs for hit films like Shah Rukh Khan's Baazigar and Salman Khan's Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Dev Kohli was running ill for the last several days, after which he was admitted to Kokila Ben Ambani Hospital. Dev Kohli breathed his last on the morning of 26 August.
Dev Kohli wrote more than 100 songs in films like Baazigar, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Maine Pyar Kiya, Shootout at Lokhandwala. He wrote the last song 'Mere Dil Ki Train Bulati Hai' from Kangana Ranaut's film Rajjo. Dev Kohli has worked with many musicians from Shankar-Jaikishan to Vishal-Shekhar. Dev Kohli was born on 2 November 1942 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Dev Kohli came to Delhi in the year 1949 and spent his childhood in Dehradun. Dev Kohli started his career in 1969.
