New Vs Old Karizma: What is the difference between new and old Karizma, what are the power-features and design - what is better?

Hero Karizma XMR vs Old Model Comparison: Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has launched Hero Karizma XMR. On this occasion, some people must be remembering the old Karizma. Let us see the difference between the new Karizma and the old Karizma.

Hero Karizma is finally back after a long wait. Hero MotoCorp has today launched the Hero Karizma XMR 210. Its booking has started in India, and the introductory ex-showroom price is Rs. 1,72,900. After the arrival of the new Karizma, you must be missing the old Karizma. The new model of Karizma is quite different from the old Karizma. However, one thing that remains the same in both the bikes is that the brand ambassador of both the old and new Karizma is Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. He also launched the Karizma XMR 210.

Hero Karizma XMR looks different from the old Karizma in terms of design, features, platform and engine. Today we are comparing Karizma XMR and Krimzma R for you. Karizma R was launched in 2007. So let's see the difference between the new and old model of Karizma .

New Vs Old Karizma: Engine

The new Karizma XMR 210 has been introduced with a brand new 210cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. You will get 6 gears in this bike. Talking about the old Karizma, it was powered by a 223cc, air-cooled, 4 stroke engine. The Karizma R got 5 gear shift support. With this engine, the bike could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 15 seconds.

New Vs Old Karizma: Design and Features

Hero's new Karizma can grab the attention of people with great features. This bike has come with an aggressive front design. The LED headlight, LED DRLs, sculpted fuel tank, large windscreen and fairing complement the mirrors perfectly.

The new Karizma was launched with USB charging and turn-by-turn navigation which is a first in the segment. Apart from this, there is also a rectangular fully digital instrument cluster which houses the tachometer and speedometer.

In comparison, the Karizma R used to come with a hefty touring setup. Its design has been inspired by the Honda VRF 800, which was reflected in its fairing and sharp panels. The bike got an electric starter, analog tachometer and speedometer along with a digital fuel gauge.

New Vs Old Karizma: Suspension and Brakes

The 2023 Karizma XMR 210 misses out on USD forks. It uses conventional telescopic forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. The new bike will get disc brakes at both the ends, and will also get support for the standard Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

The Hero Karizma R featured a single downtube frame, which came with telescopic forks and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers. Braking was handled by a disc brake at the front while a drum brake at the rear. The last ex-showroom price of Karizma R was around Rs 90,000.
