The special thing is that during the financial year 2022-23, Sunil Bharti Mittal's annual package increased by 8.92%, while Gopal Vittal's total salary increased by 10.39%. However, the telecom company says that there was no change in Mittal's salary last year. That is, the salary and allowances that Chairman Mittal was getting in the financial year 2021-22, he continued to get almost the same in the financial year 2022-23. There was no changing in this.

Total remuneration exceeded that of Chairman Mittal

However, during the financial year 2021-22, the annual salary of Sunil Bharti Mittal was more than that of MD Vittal. But then there was not much difference in the total salary of both. In the financial year 2021-22, where Mittal's total salary was Rs 15.39 crore, the company gave a total of Rs 15.25 crore as salary to Vittal. That is, in the financial year 2021-22, Mittal's salary was only Rs 14 lakh more than Vittal's salary. But in the financial year 2022-23, Vittal went ahead of his chairman in terms of salary. This means that in the financial year 2022-23, the annual salary and allowances of Vittal increased. His total remuneration was more than that of Chairman Mittal.

During 2022- 23, Vittal received a total of 16.84 crores as remuneration.

According to the company's annual report, during the financial year 2022-23, Vittal received a total of Rs 16.84 crore as remuneration. Out of this, he was given Rs 10.09 crore as salary and allowances and other components. Whereas, he got Rs 6.74 crore as incentive. However, Vittal was given some additional facilities by the company. At the same time, during the financial year 2022-23, Mittal got 16.77 crores as remuneration. This includes Rs 10.06 crore as salary-allowance, while Rs 4.5 crore was received as performance linked incentive. Along with this, 2.2 crore rupees were given as additional facilities.
