PCB introduced domestic contract for women cricketers, will get big profit

 

For the first time for women's cricket in Pakistan, PCB has handed over domestic contracts to 74 cricketers. The contract will run for 11 months and will include 16 under-19 cricketers as well as 43 players classified as emerging cricketers.

A PCB press release stated that,

"These domestic contracts have been awarded to players who have performed well across various cricket platforms including domestic cricket tournaments, emerging tournaments, U-19 domestic tournaments and the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup."

Of the contracted players, 13 cricketers have played international cricket. These include Javeria Khan, Kainaat Imtiaz, Anam Amin, Iram Javed and Gul Feroza, who have been demoted from central contracts to domestic contracts. All 74 cricketers will be paid the same monthly retainer, although match and appearance fees as well as travel and accommodation costs will vary. New PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf said,

"I would like to heartily congratulate the 74 women cricketers who have earned these contracts through their talent and dedication. Today is an important day and a happy occasion for the Pakistan Cricket Board, as we look forward to the upliftment of women's cricket in our country." Taking a historic step in that direction."

He further said that,

“This initiative is not just about signing contracts, but it is about investing in the dreams and aspirations of these exceptional players. Our women cricketers have consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication on the field, and now the time has come It's up to us to give them the platform they deserve."

According to a report, the fixed salary received by all these 74 cricketers of Pakistan under domestic contract is modest, but this is the first time in Pakistan women's cricket that contracts have been fixed for domestic cricketers as well. Therefore, it will be called a new development of Pakistan cricket. In addition, players will be given a share of any prize money won.
