PCB issued central contract of Pakistan team, huge increase in match fees

 


The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the central contract for its women's cricket team. This contract will be valid from 1 August 2023 to 30 June 2025. The PCB has divided this contract of the women's cricket team into categories. Let us tell you about each player in each category.

There are a total of 3 players including Bismah Maroof, Nida Dar and Sidra Amin in Category A.

There are total 4 players in Category B i.e. in second category - Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali and Nashra Sundhu.

There are a total of 5 players including Diana Baig, Ghulam Fatima, Omaima Sohail, Sadia Iqbal and Sidra Nawaz in Category C i.e. the third category.

A total of 8 players are present in Category D i.e. fourth category - Anusha Nasir, Ayman Fatima, Najiha Alvi, Sadaf Shamas, Shawal Zulfikar, Syeda Arub Shah, Tuba Hasan and Umm-e-Hani.

Highlights of the new central contract

In the list of these players, Anusha Nasir, Eman Fatima, Shawal Zulfikar and Umm-e-Hani are the four players who got the central contract for the first time. Sidra Amin has been promoted from Category C to Category A due to their excellent performance in the 2022-23 season.

Apart from this, out of these 20 players who got central contracts, Ghulam Fatima, Muneeba Ali and Sadia Iqbal are the three players who have been rewarded for their good performance in the previous season. Bismah Maroof, Fatima Sana, Nashra Sundhu, Nida Dar, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Nawaz and Tuba Hasan retained their places in their respective categories.

This new contract made for 23 months was presented in front of all these 20 players last week, which was signed by all the players. The PCB said that after one year the performance of the players would be assessed.

The salary of the old players retained in this new contract has increased by a maximum of 32%. At the same time, the match fee of ODI format has been increased by 100% and the match fee of T20 format has been increased by 50%.
