On Thursday in Meerut, the police has disclosed the case of murder and robbery of industrialists DK Jain and Anju Jain, residents of Goripura. The police have arrested both the accused involved in the incident. During interrogation of the police, the accused told that after watching the Asur and Mirzapur web series, the strategy of loot was made. One of the accused told the police that for the last 3 years he was planning a robbery to earn money.
The main accused Priyank Sharma told the police that the web series Asura came in 2020, seeing which it was understood that the police takes the location from the mobile. That's why mobile was not used. Not only this, he had an idea that the police can reach the accused on the basis of CCTV, so he carried out the whole incident by wearing a helmet, so that he could not be identified.
Took refuge in Prempuri
The accused had made preparations for the last one year to carry out this murder. The location of the places where CCTV cameras were installed was noted. Not only this, after the incident, he roamed around the city for the whole day to hoodwink the police and disappeared from the cantonment area, because there were no CCTV cameras installed in the cantonment. While passing through there, Priyank had gone to his house in Prempuri and took refuge and the other accused Yash had hid in his house on Rohta Road.
Accused Priyank Sharma told the police
Accused used to live near the house of Priyank Sharma's maternal uncle DK Jain and Priyank used to visit there frequently. The preparation for this loot was going on for almost 1 year. Priyank told the police during interrogation that DK Jain's house was marked because when the gate of DK Jain's house opens in the morning, it does not close again. The milkman also goes inside the house without any hindrance. Police said that more than 50 times in the last one year, Reiki was done after visiting the deceased and the accused had noted down each and every detail.
Had taken the pistol of a friend who died in an accident
The police said that the pistol with which the murder was committed belonged to the friend of the accused, who had died in an accident a few years ago. The pistol was automatic and Priyank did not even know how to operate a pistol. When he was carrying out the robbery, Anju Jain protested, on which he opened fire and that bullet hit DK Jain. After this he also shot the woman. Both had died during treatment.
Police gave information
SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan told that after watching the web series, the accused had planned the robbery. The purpose of this incident was to start business by earning money. At the same time, SP City Piyush Singh told that he had seen the Asura web series. Regional Officer Shuchita Singh said that more than 500 CCTV cameras were searched in search of the accused and 8 teams of more than 36 people were formed. SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan has announced a reward of 1 lakh to the team that disclosed the incident.
