The Supreme Court has given a big decision on whether Ola, Uber, Rapid bike taxis will run in Delhi or not. The court has asked the Delhi government to prepare a new policy by giving one and a half months time.

The Supreme Court has given a big decision regarding the ban on Delhi Government's Rapido-Bike Taxi. However, bike taxis of Rapido, Ola, Uber will remain banned in Delhi for now. The Supreme Court on Monday gave the Delhi government time till September 30 to formulate a new policy on the bike taxi ban. The Supreme Court has given the Delhi government one and a half months to take a final decision on whether Ola, Uber or Rapido bike taxis will run in Delhi. Actually, the Delhi government is working on a policy. For which the Delhi government had sought time from the Supreme Court. While giving the verdict today, the Supreme Court has given time till September 30 to the Delhi government.

Policy will have to be prepared in one and a half months

According to the decision of the Supreme Court, the Delhi government has to prepare the policy by September 30, after which it will be decided whether OLA, Uber or rapido bike taxis will run in Delhi or not. Let us tell you that a few months ago the Delhi government had banned bike taxis in the state, after which the representatives of the three companies approached the court.

This is the whole matter

Let us tell you that the Delhi High Court had given permission to the cab aggregator companies to provide bike service while staying the decision of the Delhi Government. In February 2023, the Delhi government banned the bike service of cab aggregator companies like Ola-Uber and Rapido. The Delhi government told the Supreme Court that it will bring a policy regarding cab aggregator companies in a month.
