In the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries on Monday, Mukesh Ambani told that the company has paid direct tax of Rs 16,639 crore in the financial year 2022-23. Not only this, the company also informed about its annual performance in the AGM.
Reliance made a record of earning-profit
Reliance Industries has earned a consolidated revenue of Rs 9,74,864 crore in 2022-23. In this, before paying tax, the profit of the company has been Rs 1,53,920 crore. At the same time, the net profit of the company has been Rs 73,670 crore. This is the best performance of Reliance Industries till date.

Spending on social work
Reliance Industries spends on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through its Reliance Foundation. In the financial year 2022-23, the company has spent Rs 1,271 crore on CSR. Another big announcement has been made in Reliance's AGM regarding Nita Ambani. He has resigned from the board of Reliance Industries and in his place all three Isha, Akash and Anant have been included in the board of the company. However, Nita Ambani will continue to be the chairperson of Reliance Foundation.
