Shakib Al Hasan became the captain of Bangladesh, will take command in Asia Cup and World Cup

Bangladesh cricket team was looking for a new captain after Tamim Iqbal left the captaincy but now his search is over. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced its new captain on 11 August. Bangladesh veteran Shakib Al Hasan will be Bangladesh's ODI captain for the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup.

The President of Bangladesh Cricket Board made this big announcement on Friday. Talking to reporters at his home on Friday, Nazmul said, "We have appointed Shakib as the captain for the Asia Cup and the World Cup. The World Cup and Asia Cup squads will be announced tomorrow. The selectors will pick a 17-member squad."

The decision to make Shakib the captain can prove to be important for Bangladesh as Shakib has experience of playing cricket around the world and perhaps no one knows better than him how to handle pressure in big tournaments. In such a situation, this time how Bangladesh performs under his captaincy, it will be a matter to be seen.
