This Rakshabandhan also you can prepare this sweet at home. Soan Papdi is a popular dessert, most people like it. If you make it at home, then the taste will increase.To make this Raksha Bandhan special, you can prepare Tasty Sonpapdi at home. Soan Papdi is a popular Indian sweet, which is especially served during festivals and special occasions. On hearing its name, water comes in the mouth. This sweet is known for its texture and taste. The most special thing about Son Papdi is that it is flaky and crispy in taste. These homemade sweets will work to open more sweetness in the brother-sister relationship. So let's tell you the Sonpapdi recipe...

Method for making Sonpapdi: 

Ingredients:

- Wheat flour - 1 cup

- Gram flour (chana dal flour) - 1/4 cup

- Ghee - 1/2 cup + for frying

- Sugar - 1 1/2 cup

- Water - 1 cup

- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp

 Method:

1. Mixture of flour and gram flour: Mix wheat flour and gram flour. Then add 1/2 cup ghee and mix well. Knead like a soft dough by adding little water.

2. Preparation of sugar syrup: Put sugar and water in a pan and heat it well until the sugar syrup is ready. 

3. Frying: Divide the dough into thin long strips and fry them in hot ghee.

4. Preparation of Soan Papdi: Dip the fried strips in sugar syrup and fry them again. Then leave it to cool down.  

5. When the Son Papdi cools down, cut it into pieces and add cardamom powder.

6. This whole process takes about 1-2 hours in total.
