Spices did not become cheap even after the monsoon weakened, cumin became Rs 1400 a kg, will inflation make us cry

The public has become upset due to inflation in the country. Especially the price of spices continues to increase. Due to this, the budget of the kitchen of the general public has deteriorated.

As the monsoon is getting weaker in the country, the prices of vegetables are coming down. But there is no improvement in the prices of spices. Due to this, the general public has not got that much relief from inflation. Because along with green vegetables, spices are also important food items in the kitchen. Can't even imagine tasty and aromatic vegetables without it.

According to the report published in Hindustan newspaper, a decline has been registered in the prices of tomatoes. Within the last few days, the price of tomato has decreased by more than 100 rupees. Now in many cities including Delhi-NCR, tomato has come down below Rs.100 per kg. In many places it is also being sold at Rs.80 per kg. Similarly, the prices of cucumber, gourd, okra, bitter gourd, parwal and brinjal have also come down. Now these green vegetables are being sold for 50 to 60 rupees per kg. While till last month all vegetables except cucumber were being sold at Rs.80 to 120 per kg.

Cumin was being sold for Rs 1200 a kg

At the same time, the price of spices is increasing instead of decreasing. Till 15 days ago the cumin which was being sold at Rs 1200 per kg, now its price has gone up to Rs 1400. That means, instead of getting cheaper, cumin has become more expensive. In such a situation, the poor people have stopped adding cumin seeds to their food. Due to which the taste of vegetables and pulses has deteriorated. Similarly, the prices of other spices including turmeric, coriander, clove, cinnamon and red chilli have also increased. It is being said that due to lack of supply in the market, the price of spices has increased.

Farmers are stocking spices

At the same time, experts say that farmers are stocking spices at their own level as well. Due to this, there has been a shortage of spices in the market. In such a situation, instead of decreasing, the prices are increasing even after the monsoon is weak. In any such season, an increase of 10 to 20 percent is recorded in the prices of spices. But this time many spices including cumin and dry ginger have become more expensive than double.
