Sulabh International founder Bindeshwar Pathak passed away, breathed his last at AIIMS

Bindeshwar Pathak, a social worker, passed away in AIIMS, Delhi. He was 80 years old. Pathak sacrificed his life for the upliftment of manual scavengers. At the same time, he has been ahead to fight for the rights of the lower classes.

Bindeshv Pathak, founder of Sulabh International, passed away on Tuesday. He breathed his last at AIIMS, Delhi. In fact, after hoisting the flag at his central office in Delhi, his health suddenly deteriorated, after which he was admitted to AIIMS. It has been told that the mortal remains will be brought to the Sulabh Museum at seven o'clock tomorrow i.e. Wednesday morning for the last darshan of the general public. After that his last journey will start at 12 o'clock. Bindeshwar Pathak has been identified as a great social reformer, who sacrificed his life for the people of the lower classes.

Bindeshwar Pathak, a social worker, fought extensively against the practice of manual scavenging. At the same time, Sulabh has built about 1.3 million household toilets and 54 million government toilets based on an innovative design. In addition to building toilets, the organization led a movement to eliminate manual cleaning of human waste.

It is said that Bindeshwar Pathak Sulabh International Organization had raised more than Rs 275 crores. 60,000 associate members work for them in this organization. It is said about him that he changed the lives of people working at the lowest rung of the social pyramid of India.

Bindeshwar Pathak also developed a biogas plant

In 2003, Pathak set up a vocational center in Alwar, Rajasthan, where women are trained in tailoring, embroidery, food-processing and beauty treatments. In July 2011, Pathak got 200 women from the community, once considered untouchables, to worship him at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple (KVT). There he also had food with Brahmins and other upper caste people. Pathak has also developed a sewage-based biogas plant that generates biogas for heating, cooking and electricity.
