Tesla, the world's largest car company, has given a big gift to the customers. Giving relief to the customers, the company has launched two affordable electric cars. Although Tesla is known for expensive electric cars, but now cheap options have come for low budget people. The affordable versions of two famous cars - Model S and Model X have been launched. However, their range is less, which means they will be able to travel less distance with less cost.
The company has re-introduced the cheaper versions of Model S and Model X in the market. Tesla discontinued these models in 2021. During that time the company was focusing on expensive electric cars with more range . However, now the company needs affordable cars to attract more and more customers. That's why Tesla has brought back affordable cars.
Focus on affordable electric cars
The expensive price of electric cars has a negative impact on demand. If more and more sales are to be made, then customers will have to be given an economical option as well. Tesla worked on this strategy, and there is a huge cut in the cars. Now going a step ahead, the company has directly launched affordable electric cars. Tesla cars are sold the most in big markets like America, Europe and China.
Tesla S, X: Price
Tesla has launched the cheap model of Model S for $ 78,490 (about Rs 65.33 lakh). On the other hand, the Model X SUV is priced at Rs 88,490 (roughly Rs. 73.65 lakh). The electric car company has launched both the models in the US market. The affordable model costs $10,000 (Rs 8.3 lakh) less than the current version.
Tesla S, X: Range
The driving range of the new Model S has reduced. Its costlier model gives a range of 651 km. However, the affordable Model S will cover a distance of only 515 kms on a single charge. The range of Model X has also decreased, now this car will give a range of 432 km. The costlier model of Model X will cover a distance of 560 kms.
