The company developing ChatGPT may go bankrupt, running costs are not coming out!

'Chat-GPT' has been developed by Sam Altman. His studio 'Open-AI' is currently heading towards a possible financial crisis. According to a report by Analytics India Magazine, the company may go bankrupt by the end of 2024.

The daily cost of running 'Chat-GPT' is Rs 5.80 crore.

It has been said in the report that to maintain 'Chat-GPT', 'Open-AI' has to spend 7 lakh dollars i.e. (Rs 5.80 crore) every day. Under the leadership of Sam Altman, 'Open-AI' is facing difficulty in extracting the operation cost of 'Chat-GPT'. The financial resources of the company are fast depleting.

Although the company is constantly trying to monetize its 'GPT 3.5' and 'GPT-4' tools. Despite this, the revenue level of the company is not enough to cover its operational cost.

Users of 'Chat-GPT' are decreasing

At the time of launch, 'Chat-GPT' got good response in the market. Initially its user base increased a lot, but in the last few months its user base has declined a lot. According to similarweb data, users of 'Chat-GPT' have fallen by 12 percent in July 2023 as compared to June. Their number was around 17 billion in June, which decreased to 15 billion in July.

Because of this also 'Chat-GPT' is facing loss and it is facing difficulty in earning revenue. Apart from this, there is another reason that the increase in competition in the market.

Elon Musk will challenge

There are many open source language models available in the market, which are challenging 'Chat-GPT'. Chat bots can be developed using their framework for free. There is no need for a license for this. The main rivals of 'Chat-GPT' are companies like Google and Meta-Facebook. At the same time, Elon Musk of Tesla has announced the launch of 'TruthGPT' under his 'X' platform. For this, he is going to invest more than 10 million dollars.
